Your wetsuit should feel snug when you first put it on. Neoprene molds to your body over time, so expect a slight break-in period for the perfect fit.
After every session, rinse inside and out with fresh water. Hang inside out on a wide hanger in the shade. Avoid direct sun, heaters, or railing drapes.
Take your time getting in and out. Avoid yanking the shoulders or stepping on the legs to remove it. This prevents unnecessary stretching and seam stress.
Store flat or folded at the waist over a wide hanger. Avoid sharp folds that create creases and reduce flexibility.
Use wetsuit cleaner or mild soap every few weeks to remove salt and odors. Avoid harsh detergents and never use a washing machine or dryer.
Be mindful of rough surfaces like rocks or waxed decks when suiting up. A little care goes a long way to extend lifespan.
